Spring is knocking loudly on the door this week, with temperatures expected to climb into the 70s by midweek! Definitely time to do a little spring shopping and add a bit of color to my basic black wardrobe. But that’s easier said than done I’m afraid, as no matter what the season, I seem always to gravitate back towards black. Thankfully you don’t have to go all neon from head to toe to be on point with the big color trends happening right now. Instead, try adding pops of color to rev up your look. So many ways to do it: try adding some great shoes like these, these, and maybe even these, all iconic designs from Christian Louboutin, that are not only gorgeous, but truly works of art. A colorful handbag will also fill the bill—check out the classic flap bag from Chanel; or this bright orange gusset bag from Tory Burch. And one of my favorite ways to add a splash of color is with a chic scarf.
The one I’m wearing above is from Loro Piana, and while this color is no longer available, a rich array of vibrant hues are. The possibilities to brighten up your spring wardrobe are endless—colored jeans, blazers, belts, and outerwear—add as much or as little color as your heart desires.
