Happy Friday, everyone! Are you as excited as I am that the weekend is here? I had one of those weeks that you don’t want to repeat. I had to say goodbye to my beloved Pug, Maggie. I did not want to let her go and found those final moments with her gut wrenching. Still, as difficult as it was, an old friend really put everything in perspective for me with these simple words: Letting go is hard but it is your last gift to her. My last gift to her. I read those words and knew instantly he was right. Maggie could no longer see or hear or even stand on her own. Things had gotten that bad. I take comfort in knowing that she is finally at peace. I imagine her running free (or maybe just lounging ) with her brother Max, who we lost six months ago. The two were inseparable and just knowing they’re together again makes me smile.

Seems like just a moment ago that I took this photograph. It’s one of my favorites!
Below are some links for you to peruse this weekend. Check out…
- The retrospective. A rock star, actor, and producer of other-worldly proportions will be the featured attraction at London’s Victoria and Albert Museum beginning tomorrow, March 23rd. Ziggy Stardust, anyone?
- The trend. Travel lightly, especially when it comes to handbags.
- The book. An incredible look at Gotham City after hours.
- The punch. As in tropical from J.Crew
- The post. I know St. Patrick’s Day is over but do yourself a favor and take the time to read this beautiful piece about time and the power of now. The author references one of my favorite quotes by Irish poet, John O’Donohue:
“That which seems to pass away on the surface of time is in fact transfigured and housed in the tabernacle of memory.”
Wishing you a wonderful weekend! Hope you find countless reasons to smile!
